These are medium sized freestone rivers
containing excellent stocks of wild Brown
Trout. The Usk is recognised as being the
best Brown Trout river in Wales whilst
the Wye (picture below) also contains excellent stocks of
often-large Grayling, as well as boasting
some top class tributary streams such as the River Irfon
(picture below). All three rivers also contain, in season,
Atlantic Salmon and Shad. The scenery through
which these rivers flow is
stunning and includes the Brecon Beacons
and the Cambrian Mountains. The
wild Welsh mountain lakes contain good
Brown Trout fly fishing.
We
can provide guided days, tuition and fly fishing
holiday/short break packages including accommodation.
